Capital Sports Construction, Inc. partnered with McEachern High School in Powder Springs, GA to complete the re-turfing of the school’s stadium field. Finished in July 2023, the project replaced an aging synthetic surface with a modern turf system engineered for football, soccer, band practice, and year-round athletic use.
This work is part of a broader multi-phase athletic facility improvement effort that includes the full conversions of the school’s baseball and softball fields.
The project began with the controlled removal of the existing synthetic turf system. Once removed, Capital Sports Construction evaluated the condition of the underlying base and drainage components to identify any corrective measures needed before installing the new surfacing.
Before re-turfing, the field received targeted base repairs and refinements to ensure a uniform, stable foundation for the new synthetic system. Work included:
