Capital Sports Construction, Inc. partnered with Windsor Forest High School in Savannah, GA to construct a brand new stadium football field featuring a modern synthetic turf system and a full synthetic running track. This project replaced aging athletic space with a durable, all-weather facility designed to support football, track and field, and year-round school athletics.

The upgraded stadium enhances safety, performance, and reliability while reducing maintenance demands for the school’s athletic department.

Our Scope of Work

Site Design and Engineering

The project began with detailed grading and engineering plans to support both the synthetic turf system and the new running track. Drainage requirements, field elevations, and track geometry were mapped to ensure optimal performance and long-term stability across the entire stadium footprint.

Site Construction

Construction included demolition of the existing field area and preparation of the sub-base for both the synthetic turf field and the track. Work included:

• Excavation and removal of outdated surface materials
• Precision grading to establish uniform playing surfaces and safe transitions
• Installation of engineered aggregate bases for the turf and track systems
• Integration of drainage systems designed to improve field resilience after heavy rain

Synthetic Turf Installation

The new stadium field was surfaced with a synthetic turf system engineered for football and multi-sport use. Installation efforts included:
