Overview

Capital Sports Construction, Inc. partnered with local stakeholders in Huntersville, NC to construct and install four synthetic turf soccer fields at Richard Barry Memorial Park. The project delivers modern, weather-resistant playing surfaces designed to support youth soccer programs, recreational leagues, and community sports activities throughout the year.

By replacing traditional natural surfaces with durable synthetic turf systems, the park now offers consistent performance, improved safety, and extended field availability for players and coaches.

Our Scope of Work

Site Design and Engineering

Field layouts were evaluated to support proper spacing, safe run-offs, and optimal orientation. Engineering plans incorporated grading specifications, drainage pathways, and sub-base requirements to ensure reliable performance in a high-traffic, multi-field environment.

Site Construction

Construction began with clearing and preparing the field footprints, followed by:

  • Precision grading for accurate field elevations and slope
  • Installation of compacted aggregate base layers engineered for stability
  • Integration of drainage infrastructure to support all-weather field use
  • Sub-base compaction and verification to ensure long-term durability

This groundwork provided the structural foundation necessary for modern synthetic turf systems.

Synthetic Turf Installation

Each field received a full synthetic turf installation designed specifically for soccer play. Components included:
